Terms of sale and use

Last updated 7 October 2026.

Who you are contracting with

Loudwalk is published and sold by ANGELTECH (SAS), trading as GRAINES DE CODE, registered at RCS Brive, VAT FR39878731157. Apple processes purchases made in the iPhone app, including Unlimited, and issues their receipts. Walking purchases made on this website are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as merchant of record and issues those receipts.

What you get

Reading is free. Importing your collection, reviewing on screen, scheduling, sync through your own iCloud, and export are free to use and stay free.

The walking tutor is a subscription. It asks your cards aloud, listens, grades and corrects. It requires an internet connection and a paid model on our side, which is what you are paying for. Walking includes the allowances shown at purchase; the app tells you when you approach or reach them. Unlimited includes unlimited voice reviews and deep dives, with no daily or monthly review quota and no conversation time allowance. Both plans cover two devices. Inactive conversations close automatically.

A licence may be activated on the number of devices stated at purchase. You may move a licence between your own devices by deactivating one and activating another, from inside the app.

Requirements

Apple silicon Mac · macOS 26 or later and iOS 26 or later. Loudwalk recognizes speech on device. The voice tutor also needs an internet connection. If your devices do not meet this, Loudwalk will not run, and that is a reason for a refund under the next heading.

Trial, cancellation and refunds

There is a free trial that does not ask for a card. It exists so you can find out whether this works for you before paying.

If you are a consumer in the EU you have a right of withdrawal for fourteen days from purchase. Because this is digital content supplied immediately, that right lapses once you begin using the paid tutor and you acknowledge that at checkout — but we do not hide behind it: if it did not work for you, write to us within thirty days and we will refund you for a website purchase. For an Apple purchase, request a refund through Apple’s refund process; Apple decides eligibility. Your statutory consumer rights remain.

You can cancel a website subscription from the billing portal linked in your receipt, or an Apple subscription in your Apple subscription settings. Cancelling stops the next payment; you keep the tutor until the end of the period you have paid for.

What happens if you stop

The teacher stops talking. Nothing else changes: your cards, your review history, reviewing on screen, sync and export keep working, because none of them depend on our servers. We do not hold your data hostage and we could not if we wanted to.

Fair use

A subscription is for one person’s studying. Sharing a licence key publicly, reselling access, automated use, or using the tutor endpoints as a general-purpose way to reach a language model is not permitted, and we may suspend a licence doing it. Where we suspend for this reason we will refund the unused part.

What we promise, and what we don’t

We will not write to your Anki collection, and we will not lose your review history: it is append-only, mirrored to your own storage, and exportable at any time.

The tutor depends on a third-party model provider and on your connection. It will sometimes be slow, occasionally unavailable, and it will sometimes grade you wrongly — you can correct any grade, and your correction is what is recorded. It is a study aid, not an examiner, and it is not a substitute for professional instruction.

Beyond what the law requires, and beyond the refund above, our liability is limited to what you have paid us in the previous twelve months. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

Trademarks

Anki is a registered trademark of Ankitects Pty Ltd. Loudwalk is an independent product, not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Ankitects. It reads a copy of an Anki collection for import and never modifies it.

Governing law

French law applies, without depriving you of the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of your own country of residence.
