- Open Anki Desktop on your computer and click File → Export…
- Set Export format to Anki Collection Package (.colpkg) (or Anki Deck Package (.apkg) with Include scheduling information checked).

Does this tool upload my .apkg or .colpkg file to a server?
No. Everything runs 100% locally inside your web browser using WebAssembly SQLite (sql.js), fflate, and fzstd. Zero bytes of your Anki deck, notes, media, or review history ever leave your device.
How can it open a 2 GB or 6 GB .colpkg file so fast in the browser?
Instead of reading gigabytes of images and audio into memory, the tool reads the ZIP / ZIP64 directory header and slices only the SQLite database entry (collection.anki21b, collection.anki21, or collection.anki2). That lets a multi-gigabyte collection open in under a second using less than 25 MB of RAM.
How do I open an .apkg file and convert it to CSV, Markdown, or JSON without installing Anki?

How does Loudwalk decide which Anki cards are 'Voice-Ready' vs 'Visual-Only'?
Using the exact same clean-room rules as Loudwalk for iPhone and Mac, a card is Voice-Ready if it has both a non-empty spoken question and expected answer, is not an Image Occlusion note, and does not require an image on the front field. Visual-Only cards (such as anatomy diagrams or Image Occlusions) are automatically kept on screen in Loudwalk's free Reading mode.
What is the difference between a shared .apkg deck and a personal .colpkg export?
A shared .apkg downloaded from the web usually contains only cards and notes (0 historical reviews), so the tool shows its card count, sub-decks, and voice walkability split. Your personal .colpkg (or an .apkg exported with 'Include scheduling information' checked) also contains your revlog table, unlocking your full Anki Wrapped: lifetime reviews, true retention, longest streak, FSRS-6 stability, and your #1 most-failed 'Cursed Card'.
